Just a quick message to say hello. Have just bought my first cooper, an 06 in black with white roof and wing mirrors.

My question is I am based in Herts, but there seems nothing down my way. Am I allowed to come on here?

Yes you're deffinately allowed on here, that's a nice looking mini you have.

We have a few members in the Herts area, and we did have regular monthly meets in your area, but a few members sold their mini's so the meets stopped, but we will always be trying to restart them. So keep an eye on the Meeting area.

There may be some local stuff from time to time Im in Bedfordshire so not a million miles away.

As Wendy said there did used to be a local meet in Redbourn every month, but with one thing and another it stopped a while back as people sold their cars and others (me lol!) had so many issues they hated anything to do with MINI for a few months

There was a run a few weeks back, dealer organised from Luton. I went even though I hate them, and it was actually a nice drive out on some nice beds/bucks roads. So yep, basically, there are a few bits here and there so keep your eyes peeled when you get your new brum

you dont have to go to local meets, if you are a fan of driving you can pitch up at any meeting, i have been to meets in cambs, herts, suffolk and im from essex, but since i love a good drive and good company i tend to just get in the car and go to meet, you are only too welcome to any meet

just let someone know you are coming and we will keep an eye open for you, or someone may be able to meet one of us on your way

I think my local dealer charged me around £70 to supply and fit bonnet stripes.

Actually, just had a look on the accessories part for my dealer and to supply and fit was £71.90

Alternatively there is Mini Pirate which is a sponsor of this forum Depends what's easier for you. Could get yaself a custom roof vinyl while your there

Finding it a bit hard, I am a very impatient person - but it will be worth the wait!

It toally will, and in the meantime you can draw up a list of things you want to change

Oh I already am - side indicators - thinking about going black, thinking about bonnet stripes, but not 100% sure? Trying to find some photos so I can decide. I am sure I can think of some others.
