Whats happening with this?

People at the Suffolk Meet today kept asking me about it, but I've no idea what the plans are! 102.gif
Streeters
Dunno what have you arranged - Mr Run Organiser icon_mrgreen.gif

I take it it'll be Easter Monday from Gt Yarmouth as usual, just need to crack on with route etc.

Where should we run to this year ? COlchester / Braintree ?? Norwich ??

I'm not that familiar with the area so I can help (time permitting) with practice runs etc and sorting out raffle and run stickers etc ?
Brettles
Well, I was thinking the Norwich to Braintree that we didnt have time to plan for last years run due to Easter being soo early, but I really need clarification on an issue before I can start.

This would be a nice run, would make it a bit different from the runs that have been done before.

cooperdan
From what I seen of the pictures, the splash did look cool!!
Streeters
We missed out last year , the locals didnt appreciate 50 odd Mini's splashing through their village icon_mrgreen.gif
Last year we had to setle for snow instead (see my avatar pic taken the morning of the run)
Burt
i dont care if its a big puddle! i just want to make a big splash. (no fat jokes please!)
cooperdan
There was quite a bit of snow that year from what I saw of the pictures!
Streeters
Blizzard to start, then sun, then light snow, then suyn, then heavy snow, then sun, then...... you get the picture
great fun though.

Burt
i was stuck at work making a six foot tall snow man last year.
Kitten
I think ChrisandJax Video of Jamie Run 2008 covers this beautifully shows the blizzards in all their glory .. was a good run even in the snow ... as its the people that make it fun ..

I will attend this year.
Brettles
What is this years charity by the way?
Streeters
Good idea, lets get it done ASAP, shouldnt stop us planning this years run though.

Good point on 2009's chosen charity - I reckon it should be East Anglia air ambulance as we bumped them last year IIRC in favour of the Hospital when little Charlie was born. 102.gif

No need for PM as I've asked here ! Seems to bothering others more than me !

really? 102.gif

Anyway, a reciept is a receipt regardless of when it is posted on this forum. A charitable donation was been made, received and the club willl have a reciept shortly.

anyhoo i vote the air ambulance as well dance2.gif

THIS YEARS run ... water splash sounds fun as long as there aren't too many little minis breaking down afterwards! and East Anglian air ambulance is a good choice...

SSSSO ...... Moving back onto topic - Jamies Run IV - 2009

Is there any objection to this years charity being East Anglia Air ambulance. ?

Routes are being discussed presently with the clubs event organisers, We'd like to take in as much of the clubs area as we can. Nearer the time, as in previous years, we will need a few guinea pigs to test the route an to make sure that route maps are correct etc.

We'll post up more details as and when we can, but obviously we'd love everyones support and a big turn out not just from ECMC but from other local clubs as well, like we have enjoyed in previous years.

Count me in,sounds a fun day out for a worthy cause. cool3.gif

Me too, I can probably manage to squeak like a guinea pig and test some runs.

Air Ambulance is a very good choice.
cooperdan
Agree! Air ambulance I think is a good one to go for as they rely a lot on purely donations!!
Shayne165L
Air Ambulance is a Great choice , i'll go with that .

Excellent choice of charity. I'm sure some of you know that if it wasnt for the service I wouldnt be here now after a serious car accident onroute to Mitp 2003.

I have some contact details if you require them.

As it looks like they might well be the choice this year, if you want to send me the details either by PM or email to the address at the bottom of my signature, it would be great 023.gif

A slight difference. Last year would have been quite a bit different had it not been for the snow.
*mini*jack*

i wouldnt mind doing the original route planned for last year but ending up at a different ending point, we didnt get to do the 1st part of the run as the snow was just sooo bad so a mdoified route of last years run would be fine by me, i dont know what everyone else thinks but i would be ok with a new route or a re-hash of last years 023.gif
Kitten
Do we have a route for this yet !!

thanks
