People at the Suffolk Meet today kept asking me about it, but I've no idea what the plans are!

Dunno what have you arranged - Mr Run Organiser
I take it it'll be Easter Monday from Gt Yarmouth as usual, just need to crack on with route etc.
Where should we run to this year ? COlchester / Braintree ?? Norwich ??
I'm not that familiar with the area so I can help (time permitting) with practice runs etc and sorting out raffle and run stickers etc ?

Well, I was thinking the Norwich to Braintree that we didnt have time to plan for last years run due to Easter being soo early, but I really need clarification on an issue before I can start.

This would be a nice run, would make it a bit different from the runs that have been done before.

Last year we had to setle for snow instead (see my avatar pic taken the morning of the run)

Jan 22 2009, 11:41 AM
Good idea, lets get it done ASAP, shouldnt stop us planning this years run though.
Good point on 2009's chosen charity - I reckon it should be East Anglia air ambulance as we bumped them last year IIRC in favour of the Hospital when little Charlie was born.

really?

Anyway, a reciept is a receipt regardless of when it is posted on this forum. A charitable donation was been made, received and the club willl have a reciept shortly.
anyhoo i vote the air ambulance as well

THIS YEARS run ... water splash sounds fun as long as there aren't too many little minis breaking down afterwards! and East Anglian air ambulance is a good choice...

Is there any objection to this years charity being East Anglia Air ambulance. ?
Routes are being discussed presently with the clubs event organisers, We'd like to take in as much of the clubs area as we can. Nearer the time, as in previous years, we will need a few guinea pigs to test the route an to make sure that route maps are correct etc.
We'll post up more details as and when we can, but obviously we'd love everyones support and a big turn out not just from ECMC but from other local clubs as well, like we have enjoyed in previous years.

Excellent choice of charity. I'm sure some of you know that if it wasnt for the service I wouldnt be here now after a serious car accident onroute to Mitp 2003.
I have some contact details if you require them.

i wouldnt mind doing the original route planned for last year but ending up at a different ending point, we didnt get to do the 1st part of the run as the snow was just sooo bad so a mdoified route of last years run would be fine by me, i dont know what everyone else thinks but i would be ok with a new route or a re-hash of last years
