Hi Everyone!!

We've just got a Mini Equinox (1996) and are in the process of a) discovering the problems, and b) trying to fix them!

In the month we've had 'Tommy', we've done:

New shocks all round (plus brackets)
New fuel filter + fuel pipes
New wiper park switch (this was a bit of a bu**er to get out!)
New headlights (to fit tomorrow!)

Any members in the Wymondham area? might need the services of a welder in the next few months as parts of the underside are suspiciously spongy!

I'm the fixer, and my wife is the driver - hope to get really into this!!!!

Hi that will be two equinoxes (equinii??) now in the club, a few of us are able to do some welding, but not really that near Wymondham to be honest. Pop along to the next meet and say hello.

hi cambiker71!

I've not joined yet as I was not sure how many 'classic' mini's you have in the club - the forum seems mainly BMW orientated (we are BMW free!).

How often and where do you meet, and what sort of things do you all do?? and are there any local members to Norfolk?

I'd guess we're about 50/50 across the club, oddly Cambs area seems to be all classics, whilst Herts is MINI. Norfolk has always been a mix, but not too many members that way until recently, and suffolk is again a good mix, Essex at the minute has been mostly MINI. We meet all over the place, as mentioned above, the Suffolk meet is this sunday, and the Cambs meet is a week later. We also do a lot of the shows throughout the year, and other social get togethers too.

Hi

Welcome to the club, I am also fairly new to the club, and a classic owner in Norfolk. I haven't seen any Norfolk meeting arranged as yet, but I am sure someone will be organising one soon. I will be going to the Cambs meeting on Jan 11th at Soham, its at a pub at lunchtime that does good food. I have met a couple of club members and they have all been normal enthusiastic mini owners.

Enjoy !!

Gosh If only some could read that statement. I was constantly being told by people last year that the forum was too Classic based icon_eek.gif smirk.gif
Like most have mentioned, its a pretty even spread really , but some areas have more bias than others. The last Malvern Show we had 5 cars, 3 classic and 2 MINI, MITP in the summer we had 14 cars there and more than half were classics.
It largely depends on who's available , but we're all very friendly and certainly arent ANTI either type of the brand. Like it says at the top of the page "big or small - we love them all" woohoo.gif

Lovely looking Equinox you've got there. I'm sure the answers to many questions you have can be found here, and if you cant find them, dont be afraid to ask icon_hug.gif

Look forward to meeting to meeting you soon. icon_drivin.gif
